Dubai’s Gulfood 2026 — the world’s largest annual food and beverage event — made history by expanding into two mega venues for the first time: the Dubai World Trade Centre and the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. This year’s show featured more than 8,500 exhibitors from nearly 195 countries, further cementing Dubai’s position as a global hub for F&B sourcing, innovation, and trade.

The historic expansion doubled the exhibition space to over 280,000 m² and introduced new sectors such as Gulfood Fresh, Gulfood Startups, and Gulfood Logistics, highlighting cutting‑edge technologies like AI‑driven supply chains and blockchain‑enabled performance tools.

India’s Strong Presence and Global Participation

India played a major role as Country Partner at Gulfood 2026, with over 600 Indian companies showcasing products ranging from basmati rice and spices to processed foods and beverages. This strong participation underscored Dubai’s importance as a gateway to global markets, connecting export‑focused producers with buyers from around the world.

Local Innovation and SME Growth

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development supported 10 Emirati food ventures at this year’s exhibition, helping local SMEs connect with international buyers and expand into global value chains. Featured products included beverages, gluten‑free foods, honey, and dietary supplements — reflecting Dubai’s broader strategy to foster homegrown success in international exports.

Dubai World Cuisine Puts Local Chefs in the Spotlight

At the Dubai World Cuisine platform, more than 70 homegrown chefs from over 30 nationalities showcased culinary innovation by blending global techniques with local flavors. This initiative not only celebrates Dubai’s multicultural food identity but also positions the city as a leading global culinary destination with internationally recognized talent.

Why this matters: Dubai’s F&B landscape is evolving beyond a regional sourcing center into a global innovation and cultural powerhouse, attracting top brands, investors, and culinary talent from across the world. For anyone in the food and beverage industry, Dubai continues to be a key strategic focal point.
